Theological Education Support Ministry for Church Leaders and Pastoral Candidates

 

We are launching a ministry to help church leaders, pastoral candidates, and pastors receive more professional and systematic theological education.

There are already several accredited seminaries in the United States that offer fully online ministry training programs and master’s degree programs, many of which are also available in Spanish. Providing access to higher-level theological education will significantly benefit local churches in the Dominican Republic.

1. Purpose and Vision

Many church leaders and pastors in the Dominican Republic have not received systematic or professional theological education.

Most pastors are appointed either through short-term denominational training (1–3 years or less) or through informal recognition and validation within their local churches.

This ministry seeks to address this gap by providing access to structured theological education so that pastors can improve the quality of their preaching, leadership, and ministry effectiveness.

2. Target Participants and Goals

This program is designed for church-recommended individuals aged 18 and above, including:

  • Church leaders
  • Pastoral candidates
  • Active pastors

All participants will study through 100% online theological programs.

Program pathways:

  • Church leaders and pastoral candidates: 1-year certificate program
  • Pastors: 3-year Master’s degree program

3. Seminary Education Options

Yours Foundation will establish partnerships with the following seminaries to ensure that missionaries and local church leaders can access affordable theological education.

4. Sponsor Participation

Monthly Sponsorship:

  • Sponsor one student: CAD $100 per month

5. Theological Education Budget

  • Total tuition: USD $5,000 (for a 2-year diploma program, after scholarships are applied)
  • Church contribution: TBD
  • Yours Foundation scholarship support (per student): USD $500
  • Additional donations: TBD

6. Commitment Agreement for Theological Education

All participants must sign a formal commitment agreement confirming faithful participation in the program.

  • Participants must commit to attending all classes faithfully
  • Commitment forms must be signed by parents, spouses, and recommending pastors/mentors where applicable
  • After graduation, participants must commit to serving faithfully in their local church for a minimum of 5 years

지역교회의 리더들(목회후보생)과 목회자들을 대상으로 보다 전문적이고 체계적인 신학교육을 받도록 돕는 사역을 시작하게 됩니다. 이미 미국의 여러 신학교에서 목회연구과정이나 석사과정을 100% 온라인으로 수강할 수 있는 학교들이 준비되어있으며, 스페인어로도 가능합니다. 보다 전문적인 신학교육은 도미니카공화국 지역교회에 큰 도움이 될 것입니다. 

1. 목적과 방향성

도미니카공화국의 리더들과 목회자들은 체계적이고 전문적인 신학교육을 받지 못합니다. 목회자 대부분이 1~3년 미만의 교단 자체 공부 혹은 지역교회에서 자체검증을 통해 세워진 목회자들이 많습니다. 그들을 대상으로 보다 전문적인 신학교육을 통해서 목회자들이 설교와 사역의 질이 더욱 높아지도록 도울 것입니다. 


2. 대상 및 목표

지역교회에서 추천하는 18세 이상의 리더, 목회후보생, 그리고 목회자들을 대상으로 100% 온라인 신학과정을 공부하도록 합니다.

* 리더들과 목회후보생은 1년 수료증 과정
* 목회자들은 3년 과정의 석사 과정

유어스파운데이션은 다음의 학교들과 접촉하여 파트너십을 맺고 선교지 목회자들이 저렴한 비용으로 신학교육을 받을 수 있도록 도울 것입니다. 아래의 신학교들은 모두 스페인어로 100% 온라인 수업을 들을 수 있는 프로그램을 제공하고 있습니다.

* 총 학비: $5,000(2년 디플로마 과정) - 학교장학금 적용시
* 교회지원비: ??
* 유어스파운데이션 장학금(1인): US $500
* 기타 후원금: ??

6. 신학교육참여 서약서 작성

* 모든 수업에 성실하게 참여하겠다는 약속을 반드시 해야 합니다. 
* 서약서를 부모, 자녀, 배우자, 추천자 모두 작성하여 사인합니다.
* 학교를 졸업 후에 소속된 교회에서 성실하게 사역자로 최소 5년간 헌신합니다.
